There are multiple ways to update your Telstra MR1100 Nighthawk M1 Mobile Router. If you need to update your firmware please use one of the options below to update your Nighthawk M1 Mobile Router to latest FW version.
Option 1: Web update firmware via NETGEAR mobile app:
- Login to the NETGEAR Mobile app as administrator. (default username: admin default password: admin)
- Tap on Settings on the main dashboard.
- Tap on Firmware.
- Tap on Check for Updates button and wait for the device to check the server.
- Tap on Download Update
- Tap on Start Update
- The device will then power OFF and boot into software upgrade mode. Do not remove the battery of power the device OFF when LCD is showing Updating Device.
Option 2: Manually update firmware via Telstra WebUI (http://m.home):
- Download firmware file MR1100-1TLAUS_23113199_NTG9x50C_10.25.01.01_00_TELSTRA_03.22.secc.spk from the following link: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/firmware/MR1100/MR1100-1TLAUS_23113199_NTG9x50C_10.25.01.01_00_TELSTRA_03.22.secc.spk
- Open the WebUI and log in as (default username: admin default password: admin)
- Click on Settings on the main dashboard
- Click and expand Administration
- Click on Firmware Update
- Click on Choose File
- Browse to the folder where you have downloaded firmware file MR1100-1TLAUS_23113199_NTG9x50C_10.25.01.01_00_TELSTRA_03.22.secc.spk downloaded in step 1 and select it.
- Click on Upload
- The device will power OFF and boot into software upgrade mode. Do not remove the battery or power the device OFF when LCD is showing Updating Device.
- You will see an Alert on the WebUI dashboard after the upgrade when the device boots up to indicate the upgrade was successful.
Option 3: Web update firmware via Telstra WebUI (http://m.home):
- Open the WebUI and log in as (default username: admin default password: admin)
- Click on Settings on the main dashboard
- Click and expand Administration
- Click on Firmware Update
- Click on Check For Updates
- Click on Download
- Click on Update
- The device will power OFF and boot into software upgrade mode. Do not remove the battery or power the device OFF when LCD is showing Updating Device.
- You will see an Alert on the WebUI dashboard after the upgrade when the device boots up to indicate the upgrade was successful.
Note: If you see the message “Insufficient data to download update” and red stop cursor at step 3 or 4, please click on Download button as you can still proceed.
