AFL.COM.AU is having a facelift and there's significant work under the hood too as we race into a new era of digital publishing.

Working closely with our technology partner Telstra and digital media technology company Pulselive, we are about to transition to a new Content Management System – the tool we use to make our content come to life.

Everything you know and love on AFL.com.au and the club websites will soon be published from this new system as we aim to take user-experience to the next level.

We were fortunate enough to have hands-on experience with the system this season with the new womens.afl website, and the feedback from fans was fantastic.

We have spent a lot of time with you, the fan, throughout the year understanding why, how and when you use our digital products to further develop a web experience that suits your needs.

Using a mix of survey-based data, audience metrics and face-to-face interviews, we have and will continue to reflect your needs on all of our digital platforms.

Friday, December 6 marks the start of our journey on this new content management platform. For launch, all your key information will be at your fingertips:

- News
- Video including full-match replays
- Ladder
- Fixtures
- Historical results

The editorial and publishing teams are hard at work in the off-season polishing their skills in this system for the NAB AFL Women's, Marsh Community Series, and Toyota AFL Premiership seasons ahead.

We will continue to deliver more functionality to the AFL, AFLW and club websites during the holiday break so your weekday and gameday experience delivers what you have told us you expect.

We have some exciting things in store for some of our favourite features too:

- Match Centre
- Ladder Predictor
- Stats Pro

We welcome your feedback and comments. The fans are what make this great game, and we want you to enjoy our content with the best digital experience possible.
